** The Book Club is an excellent opportunity for students to engage with what they have read, and share their opinions in a pseudo-academic environment. Students who attended the first Book Club session in July 2018 are invited to attend any 2019 session for free (excluding the price of the book if you wish to purchase your own copy). Students who wish to start in July will be charged a membership fee for the rest of 2019.

*** Since Poetry 2A includes advanced analysis, new students must first complete Poetry for Beginners or the Literary Techniques one-day crash course.

July School Holiday Workshops (Winter 2018)

We have a tentative schedule for the July school holiday workshops during the first week of the public school holidays. These courses will be held in both our Chatswood and City locations.

This school holiday, we are pleased to introduce the Shakespeare Academy Book Club, where students a given a novel to read before discussing it with their peers. This is a fun and interactive way for students to engage with reading, and to learn how to articulate and share their thoughts in an pseudo-academic environment.

* We recommend that new Year 12 students have completed the Discovery Essentials workshop before attempting practice papers.

** Students must have previously completed a content module at Shakespeare Academy in order to enrol.

Easter School Holidays (2017): Essay Workshop

We will be running intensive essay workshops during the first week of the Easter school holidays. These workshops are designed to introduce (or re-introduce) the fundamentals of essay structure and writing, and allow students to learn from examples provided as well as from one another. Students will also be required to draft and redraft their essays, and will receive extensive feedback on their writing.

Dates: Monday (10th), Wednesday (12th), and Friday (14th April)
Times: 10:30-12:30pm, 1-3pm, and 3:15-5:15pm
Price: $220 per student (six hours total)
