Term 2, 2020

All our courses are run online using a combination of Zoom and OpenLearning. You may attend a trial lesson of a mini course here.

UPDATE: In order to make our courses available to students during this challenging time, we are now offering our lessons on a 'subscription' basis. This means you only need to pay for a student's year level to get access to all the courses in that year level! (This excludes Year 12 classes due to the free extra marking included.)

The timing for each full course (excluding Year 12 Extension 1 English) is as follows:

  • 15-20+ hours to complete in own time (we have many activities and material for ambitious students)
  • 10+ contact hours with the tutor, including
    • 5 hours on Zoom
    • 5+ hours on OpenLearning for marking, facilitating discussions, and answering questions

The term runs from Monday 27 April to Sunday 5 July.

Since the term focuses heavily on writing skills (especially writing essays), all new students to Shakespeare Academy should first complete Poetry for Beginners during the July school holidays. This is to ensure students will be equipped with the notes to write the best possible essays during the course.

Students who wish to start in July will be charged a membership fee for the rest of 2019.

Since the term focuses heavily on Shakespearean drama, all new students to Shakespeare Academy must first complete the prerequisite Poetry for Beginners or the one-day Literary Techniques courses. We are running both courses during the April school holidays, and Poetry for Beginners during Term 2 as well.
