Additionally, we also offer:

  • Private (one-on-one) lessons
  • Lessons on the HSC (all levels) and the IB (all levels, including the Extended Essay)
  • Latin
  • Classical Greek

Online

All our courses are run online using a combination of OpenLearning and Zoom. The courses are structured over 10 weeks, and require at least 2-3 hours of study per week, which students can do in their own time. All preparation, instructions, material, and lectures are available on the OpenLearning platform.

Additionally, the tutors will hold a 30-minute live Q&A session on Zoom every week.

Our online courses are only available to independent, disciplined, and passionate students who wish to take their literary studies to another level. Students must be in Year 8 and above, or have previously proven their dedication to learning. To encourage these students with their learning, we are pricing these courses as two-for-one.

Year 12 (2020)

Our current Year 12 students have finished learning all their Advanced and Extension 1 English HSC content – congratulations! In Term 3, we will be providing practice papers to help prepare for your Trials and HSC. In addition to marking and feedback, you will also have Zoom sessions at the following time:

  • Saturday 1:30-2:30pm

If you’re looking for some extra HSC help, we offer private lessons in Chatswood, the City, and online. Please contact us on 0401 005 878 ASAP if you wish to confirm a slot.

Year 12 (2021)

We are ready to teach the HSC syllabus in Term 3, focusing specifically on the Common Module: Texts and Human Experiences.

We have Year 12 courses ready for the following prescribed texts:

  • The Merchant of Venice
  • Nineteen Eighty-Four
  • The Crucible
  • Rosemary Dobson’s poems
  • Kenneth Slessor’s poems

Our July holiday courses can be attended in-person at our Chatswood classroom or online. Our online courses use a combination of Zoom and OpenLearning.

UPDATE: In order to make our courses available to students during this challenging time, we are now offering our lessons on a 'subscription' basis. This means you only need to pay for a student's year level to get access to all the courses in that year level! (This excludes Year 12 classes due to the free extra marking included.)

The timing for each full course (excluding Year 12 Extension 1 English) is as follows:

  • 15-20+ hours to complete in own time (we have many activities and material for ambitious students)
  • 10+ contact hours with the tutor, including
    • 5 hours on Zoom
    • 5+ hours on OpenLearning for marking, facilitating discussions, and answering questions
